Chaparral High School senior Kyle Potts was named as the Rotary Club of Parker’s Student of the Month for February.
Potts is a member of the Student Council, school newspaper, speech and debate team, and the Broadcasting Club. He maintains a 3.30 grade-point-average and is ranked 170th in his class of 480 students.
Potts is known as “The Voice of Chaparral High School.” He broadcasts all the sporting events in the gym, on the school web site and does the announcements each morning over the PA system. In addition, Kyle is working on a video to promote Chaparral along with their feeder schools.
“Kyle has a willingness to take risks, an ability to work with others and a flexibility and commitment…all of this leads him to put himself whole- heartedly into an endeavor, contributing to an experience for all who interact with him,” wrote teacher Wendi Kuntz.
Potts is interested in pursuing a career in the motion picture industry and has applied to the Savannah College of Art and Design.
